The Literacy Program offers a breadth of classes, research opportunities with the faculty, and a wealth of field experiences with the CCLD. The combination of these classroom and experiential activities result in graduates who are prepared for many of the literacy challenges! Student community activities include the Reading Association. Program students and faculty communicate by frequent classroom contact, advising sessions and the LISTSERVs for literacy professionals, literacy and reading students, and by their course LISTSERVs. Students in the Literacy Program enjoy a collegial relationship with the program faculty. The Literacy Program faculties continuously monitor how our program is relevant to the professional challenges so we can adjust our teaching and learning experiences to provide a dynamic preparation for our graduate students.
