Our university was founded in 2006 under the name of Namık Kemal University, and its name was changed to “Tekirdağ Namık Kemal University” in 2018. As of the end of 2023, there are over 31,000 students, 1,146 academic staff and 1,035 administrative staff at our university. It continues its activities with 52 academic units, including 3 Institutes, 12 Faculties, 1 College, 1 Conservatory, 12 Vocational Schools, 18 Application and Research Centers and 5 Department Heads. Our central campus is located in the Namık Kemal Neighborhood of Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ province. Our central campus includes a Social Life Center, stadium, indoor sports hall, fitness center, swimming pool, Turkish bath-sauna, basketball, volleyball courts, pilates and squash studios, athletics track and football field, and the Murat Kamil Tirpanci Library with a closed area of 10,800 m2. Apart from the central campus, we have campuses in the districts of Corlu, Cerkezkoy, Hayrabolu, Malkara, Marmaraereglisi, Muratli, Saray, and Sarkoy. Our university, which is one of the young, dynamic and entrepreneurial universities that play an important role in the regional and local development process, is rapidly developing its current infrastructure in every field and is rapidly advancing towards becoming a prominent, preferred and recognized university in Turkey.
