To provide basic information to those who want to study mathematics and related fields at a more advanced level, to implement programs that will enable students to have jobs after graduation according to their tendencies and abilities, and to train undergraduate mathematicians who have contemporary scientific thinking and research skills in the professional work and research process. For this purpose, the Department of Mathematics provides education aimed at developing the ability to "think scientifically" in general and to train scientists who can conduct academic studies in the fields of pure mathematics and applied mathematics in particular.

Admission Requirements

(1) In order to apply to a master's program, candidates must have a bachelor's degree and, except for candidates who will apply to the music department, they must have received at least 55 standard points in the score type of the program they are applying for from the ALES conducted centrally by ÖSYM or they must be successful in internationally accepted exams whose equivalence is accepted by the senate instead of the ALES result and whose success base points are determined. (2) In accepting students to master's programs, the success grade is calculated by adding 20% ​​of the undergraduate graduation weighted grade point average, 50% of the standard score obtained from (ALES) and 30% of the score obtained as a result of the interview conducted by the jury established by the institute's board of directors for each department. In order for a candidate to be considered successful, the success grade must be at least 65. Students are accepted according to the announced quota by ranking from the highest score to the lowest.
