Purpose of the Program
It is aimed to evaluate the concepts of landscape planning, design and management within the framework of sustainable principles related to our country's strategic plans, to ensure the correct shaping of natural and cultural landscapes with interdisciplinary working skills, to be effective in problem solving, to be able to express studies by combining them in the context of science, art, engineering and technology.
Scope of the Program
The scope of this program is to provide basic information on the four main subjects given below. 1. Planning, 2. Design, 3. Environmental protection and landscape restoration 4. Landscape management
In the field of landscape planning:
To produce land use projects at national and local scales, To make Development and Management Plans of places with protected area status (national parks, historical and archaeological areas, etc.), To carry out inventory creation, mapping, analysis and ecological priority planning studies for the sustainable use of natural resources, To ensure the creation of urban open and green area systems. In the field of landscape design:
To carry out urban design and urban renewal studies, To design, implement and maintain public green areas [parks, squares, pedestrian paths and areas, coastal strips, sports areas, etc.], To carry out design, implementation and maintenance studies in mass housing areas and mass use environments (university campuses, shopping malls, collective workplaces, etc.) To design, implement and maintain tourism and recreational facilities In the field of environmental protection and landscape repair;
To plan for the sustainability and repair of areas that have been or are being destroyed by humans, such as highways, wetlands, mines, forests, To carry out studies such as irrigation, lighting, drainage, waste disposal, land shaping, which concern landscape engineering services,
To take part in “Environmental Impact Assessment” studies and prepare their reports, In the field of landscape management;
To carry out idea generation, project design, implementation, monitoring, supervision and consultancy services on urban or rural landscape management issues, To take part in rural settlement development programs, To take part in regional, district and basin management studies
