Climate challenges and a threatened environment today mean that sustainability and innovative functionality must be considered in new products and systems. At Sustainable Design, you become an expert in creating and implementing sustainable products and systems in close collaboration with companies, municipalities and voluntary organizations. You develop, for example, emergency tents, bicycle airbags or robot vacuum cleaners. You can also work with rehabilitation of the elderly, energy-efficient mobility or waste systems in the cities.
The education develops your abilities to carry out interdisciplinary development and design work in both design studios and workshops. You gain technological insight, and you learn to understand, stage and implement innovative processes that lead to the design and realization of sustainable products, services and socio-material system solutions. You also learn about how to involve actors such as customers, users and others who have an interest in the end product / system.
