The music therapy education at Aalborg University is a combined bachelor's and master's education of 5 years. Admission to the bachelor's program presupposes fulfillment of the following requirements or documentation of equivalent qualifications:

  • Passed entrance exam
  • Dansk A
  • English B
  • History B or History of Ideas B or Contemporary History B
  • Another language (beginner language A or advanced language B)
  • Passed entrance exam completed at AAU the same year admission is sought

NOTE!  From admission 2023, there will be a requirement to pass an entrance examination with a quotient of at least 4.0.

Aalborg University offers interdisciplinary studies where bachelor courses (basic study programmes) are followed by masters and Ph.D. courses (subsequent specialisation). The university offers 10 different undergraduate programmes in English across five faculties:

  • The Faculty of Humanities
  • The Technical Faculty of IT and Design
  • The Faculty of Social Sciences
  • The Faculty of Engineering and Science

Each of the five faculties has its own schools with full time bachelor education spanning over three years and designed to prepare students for master and Ph.D. education at a high academic and international level. Since the Ph.D. programmes are focussed on training researchers, students are researching independently and being actively involved in Aalborg’s research community.
