Why do recessions occur? What is the background to the development of global financial crises? We can describe and partially answer those questions with mathematical models. In the education in mathematical economics, you will go in depth with the mathematical tools that are used in connection with, for example, financial planning and impact assessment.
You will gain an in-depth knowledge of mathematical and statistical methods, and you will learn to understand, construct and apply the models to economic problems. At the same time, you get an insight into the economic theory that we use in the social and business economy.
