Medicine with Industrial Specialisation focuses on developing new medicine and better treatments of diseases. The education combines medicine, pharmacology, science and technology.  You get the opportunity to work with for example stem cells and reconstruction of tissues, clinical and pre-clinical testing of drugs and interactions between marketing and health economics and more. The master´s programme in Medicine with Industrial Specialization is composed of three health related profiles: Biomedicine, Translational Medicine and Medical Market Access. As a student you get to choose which profile you want. Large projects carried out in groups of students are a substantial part of the programme, through which students design and implement solutions to “real life” problems.

Admission to the Master’s programme in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation with legal right of admission requires the following Bachelor's degree:

  • Bachelor of Medicine with Industrial Specialisation, Aalborg University

Admission to the Master’s programme in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation requires one of the following Bachelor's degrees:

  • Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Aalborg, the University of Copenhagen, the University of Aarhus or the University of Southern Denmark
  • Bachelor of Molecular Medicine from the University of Copenhagen or the University of Aarhus
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Copenhagen or the University of Southern Denmark

Applicants with another Bachelor's degree may be admitted after a specific academic assessment if the applicant is deemed to have comparable educational prerequisites. However, admission requires educational competencies within medical molecular biology on bachelor level.

Aalborg University offers interdisciplinary studies where bachelor courses (basic study programmes) are followed by masters and Ph.D. courses (subsequent specialisation). The university offers 10 different undergraduate programmes in English across five faculties:

  • The Faculty of Humanities
  • The Technical Faculty of IT and Design
  • The Faculty of Social Sciences
  • The Faculty of Engineering and Science

Each of the five faculties has its own schools with full time bachelor education spanning over three years and designed to prepare students for master and Ph.D. education at a high academic and international level.
