Throughout the Master's programme in Building Energy Design, you will obtain specialised knowledge about energy conditions in buildings, and you will learn to combine and integrate solutions for construction, installation, and energy technology in order to create cost-efficiency and minimise environmental damage.  In your semester projects, you and your project group will work with relevant issues within the programme’s field of study, that challenge you to use all of your collected knowledge to come up with possible solutions. You are encouraged to occasionally collaborate with external organisations and businesses in your projects to get an idea of the work processes and current issues in the industry. This will prepare you better for your own work life after you graduate.
This is a full-time study programme, which is characterised by problem based project work in groups. You will be working closely with other students most of the time, and you are required to be present at the university on a daily basis and spend a vast majority of your day there.  As a graduate, you have plenty of opportunities to find work. You can work in consulting engineering companies where you can make calculations, choose materials, and supervise the construction. You can also work in large organisations such as hospitals, large real-estate companies and municipalities where you can optimise the operation of the buildings in relation to both indoor working environment and low energy use.
