The MASc in Creative Health will create a new generation of socially engaged scholars and practitioners to meet the needs of a changing health, social care and voluntary third sector, where personalised care, health inequity and the patient experience are mainstreamed into public health. This programme is the first of its kind in the world, both in terms of the qualification (Masters in Arts & Sciences) and the academic field of study (Creative Health).
Upon successful completion of the MASc in Creative Health students will acquire a range of subject-specific knowledge, including: an awareness of the scope of creative health research, policy and practice (e.g. social prescribing); have a good understanding of the social and cultural determinants of health; and be able to apply a range of methods for evaluating creative health interventions.
Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits.
The programme consists of four compulsory modules (60 credits), two optional modules (30 credits) and a research dissertation (90 credits). Upon successful completion of 180 credits, students will be awarded a MASc in Creative Health.
