The MSc Management at UCL is a highly competitive international programme. It provides students with a solid understanding of practical managerial issues coupled with a strong foundation in current theoretical debates. It consists of two pathways: Finance (for students with relevant background in finance and accounting) and Corporate.
As a student on this programme, you will develop knowledge and understanding of diverse organisations and their management in the context of complexity and change. You will be able to demonstrate a critical appreciation of relevant theory and how it can be applied in practise to manage people, organisations and their external environments. You will learn about the use of analytical methods and techniques for scanning, selecting and analysing business and management information in a systematic way.
The programme aims to encourage personal and professional development for lifelong learning through a learn-how-to-learn approach on the taught modules and research training.
Students undertake modules to the value of 180 credits which includes ten 15-credit taught modules (9 core and one optional), one careers module, and a substantive 30-credit Business Research project.
We offer two pathways: the Corporate pathway for graduates who have or have not previously studied business and management, but want to pursue a career in general management in any sector; and the Finance pathway for graduates of business and management or other disciplines (with strong background in accounting and finance) who want to pursue a career in finance.
Upon successful completion of 180 credits, you will be awarded a MSc in Management.
