Sustainable Energy Engineering is a two-year Master of Science in Engineering programme where students focus on the development and design of future sustainable energy systems. The programme offers specialisations such as Offshore Energy Systems and Fluids and Process Systems, covering topics like offshore wind turbines, energy storage, Power-to-X, CCUS, and offshore robotics.
Students gain advanced knowledge in the analysis, modelling, and optimisation of sustainable energy technologies. Teaching is in English, in an international environment, and combines theory with project work – often in collaboration with industry partners. On the third semester, students can choose between an internship in Denmark or abroad, a study period at an international university, or writing their thesis.
Admission requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, including at least 20 ECTS in mathematics, 10 ECTS in physics, and basic control theory (5 ECTS) at bachelor level. There is a limited number of study places.
Graduates are qualified for highly specialised positions in the energy sector, both nationally and internationally, for example at companies like Ørsted, Vestas, Danfoss, and Rambøll. There are excellent job opportunities, especially in Southern and Western Jutland.
