The Bachelor’s Degree Programme “State Finance” is an educational and professional programme aimed at training specialists with comprehensive knowledge of public financial systems, fiscal policy, budgeting, taxation, public financial control, and financial regulation.
The programme focuses on the structure, principles, mechanisms, and development of national and international financial systems, with a particular emphasis on public finance, budgetary systems, municipal finance, treasury operations, and state financial control. Students acquire both theoretical foundations of financial science and applied skills necessary for solving complex professional tasks in conditions of economic uncertainty.
The curriculum includes disciplines in finance, banking, insurance, public finance, budget and tax systems, municipal finance, public financial control, treasury systems, financial analysis, investment, and financial markets. Strong attention is given to analytical thinking, economic modelling, legal regulation of finance, and the use of modern information and financial technologies.
Teaching methods combine lectures, seminars, practical and laboratory classes, problem-oriented learning, and independent study. Mandatory internships provide students with hands-on experience in public institutions, financial authorities, and related organisations. Assessment includes written examinations, coursework, internship defence, and a final attestation examination.
Graduates are prepared for careers in public financial administration, taxation authorities, audit and inspection bodies, financial departments of state and municipal institutions, insurance and banking sectors, as well as for analytical and advisory roles. The programme also provides a solid foundation for further studies at the Master’s level and professional development in the public finance sector.
