The duration of the program is 2 years.
This master's program is based on the modern theoretical and practical foundations of Comparative Linguistics, Linguistic Translation Studies. The program is aimed at developing students' research skills, preparing them to conduct independent scientific research, and to become highly qualified personnel who can work effectively in the fields of education and production. Study is full-time, lasting 2 years. The program is organized on the basis of a credit-module system. Field of study and curriculum: The following scientific areas are taught in the master's program: • Scientific research methodology; • Written translation and editing; • Translation of literary texts; • tf Modern technologies of translation; • tf Simultaneous translation; • Intercultural communication and translation studies; • Extralinguistic foundations of translation; • tf Translation of film and video materials. Theoretical knowledge is combined with practice in the classes. Through stages such as scientific practice, professional practice, independent research and dissertation writing, theoretical knowledge is directed towards solving real problems. Professional opportunities and application: Graduates can work in the following areas: • Translation activities; • Scientific research activities; • Organizational management activities; • Scientific and pedagogical activities in educational institutions; • Consulting services. Masters can start startups and innovative entrepreneurship. University departments provide support through incubation centers and mentoring programs. Admission of students to full-time education in higher educational institutions is carried out by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to the rating system of points accumulated according to the results of entrance exams and test tests. Admission of foreign citizens to a master's degree is carried out on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 4, 2008 No. 169 "On improving the procedure for admission and training of foreign citizens to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Applicants who do not have the average score (GPA) in the bachelor's diploma supplement and a certificate of knowledge of a foreign language for submitting documents cannot submit documents to a master's degree. For this direction, it is necessary to obtain a national certificate of at least level B2 or an international certificate of an equivalent level - at least 5.5 points on IELTS.
