in Oil and Gas Chemistry is aimed at studying the chemical composition of
natural fuel sources, developing knowledge and skills related to their
processing technologies and the quality of products obtained from them.
Duration of study - 4 years, Form of study - full-time, The purpose of the
program is to train specialists who can work with oil, gas and their
products, participate in production and scientific and technical processes.
Educational direction and curriculum The following main areas are studied
during the training process: • General and inorganic chemistry • Organic
chemistry • Physical and colloidal chemistry • Chemical properties of oil and
gas components • Oil and gas processing technology • Methods of testing and
quality control of petroleum products Along with theoretical subjects, there
are practical classes and laboratory work, which are combined with real
production situations. The program is developed in accordance with the
requirements of the national qualification framework. Professional
opportunities and applications Graduates can work in the following areas: •
Technologist in oil and gas companies and plants • Engineer in oil refining
enterprises, laboratories and quality control departments • Researcher in
research institutes • Specialist in state expertise centers and environmental
control services Graduates who want to work in education can take pedagogical
retraining courses and work as chemistry teachers. The department provides
constant support through startups, technological innovations, cooperation
with laboratories, and scientific projects. Practical skills and professional
development Graduates will acquire skills such as: • Chemical analysis of oil
