semiconductor physics The master's degree in semiconductor physics is aimed
at acquiring advanced knowledge and practical skills in the field of modern
electronics, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics and quantum technologies. The
program lasts 2 years and forms deep fundamental training and research
competencies. Master's students acquire in-depth knowledge of the physical
foundations of semiconductor materials, electronic structure, magnetic properties,
quantum phenomena, transition processes and device physics. The educational
process is organized on the basis of theoretical courses, scientific
seminars, laboratory work and independent research. Students acquire skills
in working with modern equipment, analyzing materials, theoretical modeling
and conducting experiments. Special attention is paid to the study of
semiconductor systems based on computer simulations and digital technologies.
The program is designed in accordance with the State Standard of Higher
Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National Qualification
Framework, and graduates are awarded the specialty "Physicist,
Researcher-Teacher". They can work in research institutes, industrial
enterprises, electronics and IT companies, universities and innovation
centers. Master's students have the opportunity to participate in institutes
of the Academy of Sciences, technoparks, foreign partner organizations and
startup projects. Graduates work as highly qualified specialists in
conducting fundamental research, creating new materials, developing
semiconductor devices and introducing them into industry.

Admission Requirements
56.7+
Admission of students to full-time education in higher
educational institutions is carried out by the State Commission for Admission
to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to the
rating system of points accumulated according to the results of entrance
exams and test tests. Admission of foreign citizens to a master's degree is
carried out on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the
Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 4, 2008 No. 169 "On improving the
procedure for admission and training of foreign citizens to educational
institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and international treaties
of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Applicants who do not have the average score
(GPA) in the bachelor's diploma supplement and a certificate of knowledge of
a foreign language for submitting documents cannot submit documents to a
master's degree. For this direction, it is necessary to obtain a national
certificate of at least level B2 or an international certificate of an
equivalent level - at least 5.5 points on IELTS.
