The archaeology department also conducts its activities in conjunction with scientific research. Every year, students are given the experience of a real archaeological expedition by conducting regular fieldwork at archaeological sites in southern Uzbekistan. In addition, the university has established scientific relations with universities and archaeological centers in countries such as Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Russia, and China. For example, joint expeditions with Japan and France to the Fayoztepa and Karatepa sites are a vivid example of this. Students and young researchers participate in international conferences and seminars, publish scientific articles, and study foreign experience through internships. Specialized scientific journals and publications on archaeology operate at TerSU. Activities and their place of graduates Graduates of the TerSU Archaeology department today work in various regions of Uzbekistan, including Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, Samarkand, Khorezm, and Tashkent. They are: Heads of archaeological research groups; Directors and scientific staff of museums and cultural heritage sites; Teachers of higher educational institutions, doctoral students and young scientists. Among the graduates are scientific staff of the Academy of Sciences, specialists of organizations under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as experts working in cooperation with UNESCO.
