The duration of study is 4 years of full-time education, the purpose of education is to train scientific and pedagogical staff. At the Faculty of History, students study history and archeology as the main areas of study. During the studies, students of the faculty receive theoretical knowledge every year for 4 years and are sent to practice in each course, in the 1st-2nd-3rd-4th courses they are sent to a 2-week qualification practical, and in the 4th course they are sent to a 2-month pedagogical practice.
Graduates can work in schools, vocational schools, museums and archival organizations, district, city and neighborhood organizations, and various positions in regional governments. In the field of education and research - Teacher (schools, colleges, lyceums), Higher education teacher (assistant, senior lecturer), Researcher (historical institutes, academies), Associate professor/professor (for those who have completed a master's/doctoral degree), Museum specialist (exhibit researcher, tour guide), Archives worker (state archives, enterprise archives), Cultural heritage protection specialist, Tourism sector (guide to historical monuments), Historical consultant (government, local authorities), Political analyst (political forecasts based on history), International organizations (project manager in organizations such as UNESCO, IICAS), History editor (publishing houses, magazines), Journalist (author of historical programs, articles), Content manager (preparation of material for historical sites, blogs), Politician (use of historical knowledge in political activities), Historical film and TV series consultant, Startups, digital entrepreneurship opportunities, etc. are supported by departments or divisions and various awards are also given to them.
Students are sent to a professional internship in archaeology in the 1st year, "historical local studies" in the 2nd year, Ethnography in the 3rd year, and museology and archival studies in the 4th year, and to a pedagogical internship for 2 months in the 4th year. Students apply the theoretical knowledge they have acquired at the University during the internship and can work during their studies, starting from the 3rd year.
The knowledge, skills and abilities expected of graduates include: working with archival materials, sources, artifacts, analyzing historical events, conducting independent research, preparing reports, writing scientific articles. Understanding the cause-and-effect relationships of historical events, evaluating alternative points of view. Analyzing data using programs (Excel, GIS). Working with exhibits, documents. Giving lectures on historical topics, communication skills. Teaching at schools and universities. Promoting history through blogs, social networks.

Admission Requirements

Admission of students to full-time education in higher educational institutions is carried out by the State Commission for Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan according to the rating system of points accumulated according to the results of entrance exams and test tests. Admission of foreign citizens to a master's degree is carried out on the basis of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 4, 2008 No. 169 "On improving the procedure for admission and training of foreign citizens to educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan" and international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Applicants who do not have the average score (GPA) in the bachelor's diploma supplement and a certificate of knowledge of a foreign language for submitting documents cannot submit documents to a master's degree. For this direction, it is necessary to obtain a national certificate of at least level B2 or an international certificate of an equivalent level - at least 5.5 points on IELTS.
