languages in state and non-state institutions of continuing education,
conducting scientific research activities at the Academy of Sciences of the
Republic of Uzbekistan and sectoral scientific research institutes,
translating in state administration bodies, local and international
organizations, and working in the media and publishing houses.
Types of professional activities:
- scientific research activities; - pedagogical activities; - translation
and editing activities. - organizational and managerial activities; -
consulting services.
Requirements for professional competencies
- know the general methodological principles, terminological apparatus,
basic concepts and directions, leading concepts, scientific literature and
scientists of the theoretical sciences being studied, approaches to the study
of linguistic units and be able to apply them in scientific research; - work
with theoretical and linguistic material in a foreign language, express
thoughts on specific issues, form and express one's attitude to these
thoughts; - be able to identify current theoretical problems in the process
of scientific research, find solutions to them when analyzing units, and
apply the newly acquired knowledge in scientific research practice; - know
the linguistic methods of analyzing linguistic units (comparative analysis,
discursive analysis, contextual analysis, component analysis, etc.) of
theoretical, critical and linguistic knowledge and be able to apply them in
scientific research; - know the basic concepts, terminological apparatus,
basic principles and their characteristics, various theoretical views and
leading concepts of modern linguistics (text linguistics, cognitive
linguistics, linguocultural studies, linguopragmatics) and be able to apply
them in their scientific research; - know cognitive, communicative,
discursive, pragmatic methods in analyzing linguistic units (conceptual
analysis, frame analysis, cognitive mapping, classification of speech acts,
discursive analysis) and apply them in practice; - know how to analyze the
cognitive, linguocultural or communicative, pragmatic, stylistic aspects of a
text given in a foreign language, be able to identify the main categories of
the text and be able to analyze linguistic units expressing these categories;
