Description
The medical program comprises 15 semesters divided into three cycles: premedical cycle, preclinical cycle, and clinical cycle.
For the development of academic activities we have a privileged campus with 250 thousand square meters of modern buildings, alternating with green and sports areas, at the level of any large university of these times and clinical practices are carried out in different public hospitals located in the City of Santo Domingo, such as, among others, the Dr. Robert Reid Cabral Children's Hospital, Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia Maternity Hospital, Dr. Salvador B. Gautier Hospital, Plaza de la Salud General Hospital, Center for Advanced Medicine and Teleconferences (CEDIMAT).
With a focus on comprehensive education, the curriculum includes sports, arts, co-curricular, and elective activities.
UNPHU offers various student services designed to contribute to the academic and personal development of students, such as the Academic Progress Unit, Library and database services, Medical Clinic, among others.
