Human Development prepares students for challenging careers with individuals and families through the lifespan. The Clinical Services Concentration prepares students for careers in human services, counseling, prevention and family support. It is designed for students who want “hands-on” practical experiences in the field culminating in a clinical internship. The Clinical Services concentration is designed for students wishing to work within public and private agencies serving clients, infants through the elderly, and their families. Combining course work and clinical experiences the program of study prepares graduates for careers in direct client services and developing quality programs for individuals and families. Students are also prepared to pursue graduate degrees in careers addressing the needs of individuals and their families, such as in community and school counseling, social work, and family therapy. Career paths The Administration and Family Policy Concentration provides students with a wide range of options, including careers in business, education, government, health, law, and social services. Graduate school is a recommended option for many students.
