This program prepares the individual for teacher certification in agricultural and natural resources education. It provides students with an opportunity to gain broad understanding and professional preparation in animal science, plant and soil sciences, food science, engineering technology, entomology and wildlife conservation, resource economics, agribusiness and natural resource management. Students develop and practice their leadership skills through participation in FFA activities and other student organizations. Additionally, it provides pedagogical skills in a pragmatic hands-on program that uses an investigative, scientific, design-and-construct, and problem-solving approach to teaching. The curriculum is designed to allow students to teach in classroom and laboratory settings using modern technology and techniques.
