In this program students must maintain a GPA of 3.00 to take Honors courses and remain in the Honors Program. All Honors Program students will be reviewed yearly. Any Honors students falling below a 3.00 GPA at the end of any year of study will be contacted and removed from the Honors Program. They are also required to complete the requirement for bachelor's degree in women’s studies. Women and Gender Studies offers interdisciplinary perspectives on the past and current status of women around the world and on the formation of gender and its intersections with other relations of power, such as sexuality, race, class, nationality, religion, and age. Questions are addressed within the context of a transactional world and from perspectives as diverse as history, sociology, political science, linguistics, economics, anthropology, literary and cultural studies, philosophy, science, and the arts.
