MA Architecture and Urbanism allows students to study, and conduct in-depth research into, the influence of global cultural and economic forces on contemporary cities. Throughout the course, students will explore the design, functioning and future of urban situations in written, drawn and modelled work that builds on the legacy of twentieth-century urban theory and is directed towards the development of sustainable cities. In certain circumstances, this course can be approved as prior learning for the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Part 2-accredited MArch Architecture. MA Architecture and Urbanism is taught at the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA), an innovative collaboration between The University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU).
