BA Film Studies and Arabic aims to develop students’ understanding and awareness of the rich possibilities of this creative medium and encourages them to approach the study of film from a range of historical and theoretical perspectives. Students will also develop a comprehensive grounding in Arabic language, literature, culture, history and linguistics, enabling them to become proficient enough in Arabic to live and work effectively in an Arabic-speaking environment. Students will spend their third year studying abroad at an academic institution in an Arab country such as Jordan, Egypt or Morocco.
