The BSc Life Sciences with a Modern Language course will enable students to develop their language skills while covering a diverse range of topics within the biological sciences. This course is intended for those who are passionate about life sciences but have not yet decided on the area in which they want to specialise. The combination of units taken in the first year will enable students to transfer to most of the biological and biomedical sciences courses. Manchester offers French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and Mandarin for the language component of the course, which includes a year abroad on a research placement.
