The BSc Genetics with a Modern Language course will enable students to develop their language skills while studying a discipline of fundamental importance to all branches of modern biology. Students will discover the principles of heredity and evolution and learn how they can map genes and understand their function. Students will also consider how the development of multi-cellular organisms can progress from a single cell through regulated courses of gene expression and learn the detailed mechanisms by which genes can be switched on and off.
