This course is aimed at qualified doctors working within general or oncoplastic breast surgery who wish to gain a postgraduate qualification. Students will develop their understanding of the concepts and principles underpinning the care of patients undergoing general or oncoplastic breast surgery, as well as their ability to find, critically evaluate and apply relevant research evidence to ensure it is clinically effective. Students will enhance their clinical decision making and research practice within general and oncoplastic breast surgery, enabling them to contribute to the knowledge base. Students are encouraged to focus on topical issues within oncoplastic breast surgery practice, concentrating on aspects of practice that are relevant to their specific interests and practice.

Medical degree (MBBS and MRCS or equivalent postgraduate degree)
Working within general surgery at or above F2/SHO/ST3 or equivalent and with an interest in oncoplastic breast surgery
GMC registration
International/overseas applicants must have been offered employment in the UK through the Medical Training Initiative and have IELTS 7 or above
Admission will be dependent on successful interview

Recent work experience within general or oncoplastic breast surgery
