problems, tasks, and methods of scientific research;
- obtain
new reliable facts based on observations, experiments, scientific analysis of
empirical data, abstract scientific works, make analytical reviews of the
accumulated information in the world science and industrial activity;
- summarize
the obtained results in the context of previously accumulated knowledge in
science; formulate conclusions and practical recommendations based on
representative and original research results, deeply understand and creatively
use in scientific industrial, and technological activities the knowledge of
fundamental and applied sections of special disciplines of the Master's
program;
- know the
basics of design, expert analytical activity, and research using modern
approaches and methods, equipment, and computing complexes (following the
master's specialization);
- use
modern methods of processing and interpretation of geographical information in
conducting scientific and applied research;
- know the
history of geographical science, methodological foundations, and theoretical

Admission Requirements
People who have secondary
general/secondary vocational / higher vocational education have the right to
enroll in the 1st year of KNU and its structural subdivisions.
Selection and enrollment of the applicants
- citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and citizens of other countries for
study is conducted twice a year: in summer and winter periods.
Winter admission of
applicants to the KNU is carried out by contract, for the places left vacant
after the summer admission.
Registration and participation
in the competition of applicants - citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for
Bachelor's and specialty educational programs are held based on the
all-republican testing through the automated information system "Applicant
Online" on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the
Kyrgyz Republic https://2020.edu.gov.kg.
Registration and participation
in the competition of applicants - foreign citizens is carried out through
the automated information system "Applicant Online" on the website of
the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic
https://edugate.edu.gov.kg.
Entrance examinations are
conducted for foreign applicants in the form of computer
testing/interviews on the programs of entrance certification tests.
Education of citizens of other
states is carried out based on international agreements that have entered into
force in the prescribed manner, to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party, as
well as based on agreements between educational organizations or with
individual citizens.
All required documents for
foreign citizens: document about education equivalent to the
state document on secondary general education / secondary vocational education
/ higher vocational education of the Kyrgyz Republic must be presented to
the Admission Commission. The examination of documents of foreign citizens is
carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The main criteria for
admission to study at KNU for all forms of education are the level of knowledge
and abilities of the applicant. Admission of applicants to KNU is made on a
competitive basis.
The applicant has the right to
