KNU named after J. Balasagyn pursues the following objectives in the education and education of personality on the direction of training of  bachelors 530300 -  “Psychology”

Preparation of qualified bachelor’s graduates capable of successfully working in various fields related to the study and explanation of human thoughts, emotions, feelings, and behavior, as well as building communication and interaction with people in diverse life situations. This is achieved by developing personal and professional competencies that enhance graduates’ social mobility and job market stability in a rapidly changing world. Additionally, the program aims to foster students’ social and personal qualities, including determination, organization, diligence, responsibility, citizenship, communication skills, tolerance, and overall cultural awareness.

The areas of professional activity for graduates include addressing professional tasks in the fields of science, education, culture, healthcare, law, social assistance for the public in government and non-government organizations, as well as in research and consulting organizations that provide psychological services to individuals and legal entities.

Bachelor degree in the field of study 530300 -  “Psychology” includes the following professional cycle disciplines:

·         General psychology

·         History of  psychology

·         P sychogenetics

·         Fundamental of neuropsychology

·         Pedagogical psychology

·         Social psychology

·         Personality psychology

·         Legal psychology

·         Fundamentals of psychotherapy

·         Fundamentals of psychiatry

 

The objects of professional activity for graduates include psychological legitimacy and mechanisms of mental process  properties and states of a person at different stages of life.

Types of professional activities for graduates include practical,psychological and pedagogical.

Bachelor in the direction of training  530300 -  “Psychology” should solve following professional tasks:

In the field of practical activities:

•Implementing psychological services and applied research activities to address professional tasks using methods and technologies relevant to the chosen area of professional practice;

•Utilizing systems of scientific knowledge about the surrounding world and society to foster worldview development, appreciation of diverse perspectives and cultural diversity, as well as understanding the concept of sustainable development;

•Conducting analyses of psychological properties and states, characteristics of mental processes, and various types of activities of individuals and groups

•Participating in psychological research and diagnostics of the cognitive, motivational, and volitional development of children and adults in various scientific and practical areas of psychology (under supervision).

In the field of psychological and pedagogical activities:

•Studying scientific and theoretical information, as well as domestic and foreign experience in various directions (under supervision);

•Evaluating the effectiveness of teaching methods and technologies in the field of psychology;

•Fostering psychological attitudes toward a healthy lifestyle and behavior, considering developmental stages, risk factors in communication, education, upbringing, and organizational activities;

•Teaching psychology as a general education subject in educational institutions for preschool, secondary, initial, and secondary vocational education, and disseminating knowledge about the psychological characteristics of various areas of human activity and societal life.

In the field of organizational and managerial activities:

•Applying regulatory and legal knowledge and adhering to ethical principles in professional activities;

•Upholding the principles of sustainable development in professional practice, creating conditions for the protection of psychological health and safety of employees and students in production and educational processes;

•Organizing collaboration with community and educational organizations, children’s groups, and parents to address professional tasks;

•Participating in expert groups and developing strategic development plans.
