KNU named after J. Balasagyn pursues the following objectives in the education and education of personality on the direction of training of  bachelors 720100- “Engineering Chemical”:

Preparation of qualified bachelor’s graduates for professional activities in the field of chemical process research and chemical-technological production, foundation in humanities, social sciences, economics, mathematics, and natural sciences attainment of a higher professionally oriented education enabling graduates to succeed in their chosen fields with universal and specialized competencies that enhance social mobility and job market stability. Additionally  it involves fostering students  social and personal qualities such as determination, organization, diligence, responsibility, citizenship, communication skills, tolerance, and overall cultural awareness.

The field of professional activity for graduates in this program includes:

•Methods, techniques, and means of obtaining substances and materials through physical, physicochemical, and chemical processes, as well as the production of various products based on these substances;

•Creation, implementation, and operation of industrial production facilities for basic inorganic substances, construction materials, products of basic and fine organic synthesis, polymer materials, and pharmaceuticals;

•Agriculture;

•Healthcare;

•Extraction and processing of coal, ores, and other mineral resources;

•Extraction, processing, and transportation of oil and gas;

•Light and textile industries, as well as the food industry, including the production of  beverages and tobacco;

Bachelor degree in the field of study 720100 “Engineering chemical” includes the following professional cycle disciplines:

• Mechanics

•General Chemical Technology

•Chemical Reactors

•Chemical Ecology

•General and Inorganic Chemistry

•Theoretical Foundations of Materials Science

•Fundamentals of Organic Chemistry

•Fundamentals of Physical Chemistry

 

The objects of professional activity for graduates in this program include: chemical substances and materials, methods and instruments for determining the composition and properties of substances and materials, equipment, technological processes, and industrial systems for producing substances, materials, and products, as well as systems for managing and regulating them. It also encompasses methods and means for assessing the state of the environment and protecting it from the impacts of industrial production, energy, and transportation.

Types of professional activities for graduates include production and technological activities, organizational and managerial activities, and research activities.

Bachelor in the direction of training 720100- Engineering Chemical should solve following professional tasks:

In the field of production and technological activities:

 

•organization of workstations, their technical equipping, and placement of technological equipment; operation and maintenance of technological equipment;

•organization of incoming quality control of raw materials and materials, quality control of produced goods using standardized methods;

•participation in the refinement and implementation of technological processes during the preparation of new product production;

•checking the technical condition and residual resource of equipment, organizing preventive inspections and routine maintenance;

•preparing requests for equipment and spare parts, and preparing technical documentation for repairs;

In the field of organizational and managerial activities:

•Preparation of technical documentation (work schedules, instructions, plans, estimates, requests for materials and equipment) as well as compiling reports in approved formats;

•Performing tasks related to the standardization and preparation for the certification of technical means, systems, processes, equipment, and materials;

•Conducting cost analysis and evaluating the results of the activities of production units;

•Planning and implementing measures to prevent workplace injuries, occupational diseases, and environmental violations;

In the field of research activities:

•Study of scientific and technical information, as well as domestic and foreign experience related to the research topic;

•Mathematical modeling of processes and objects using standard automated design software and applied programs for scientific research;

•Conducting experiments according to specified methodologies, compiling descriptions of the research conducted, and analyzing their results;

•Preparing data for the creation of reviews, reports, and scientific publications;

•Compiling reports on completed tasks and participating in the implementation of research and development results;

The normative term of mastering higher professional education in the training of bachelors of the direction 720100- “Engineering Chemical” on campus 4 years, distance learning 5 years.
