KNU named after J.Balasagyn in the direction of training of Master’s degree students 530500 "Jurisprudence" realizes the following objectives in the field of teaching and education of personality:

- Preparation of specialists capable of carrying out innovative activity in the professional sphere on the development and implementation of legal norms, ensuring legality, conducting scientific research, teaching and education, and possessing universal and professional competencies that contribute to their social mobility and functional stability in the labor market. As well as the development of the social and personal qualities of graduates.

Master's degree student in the direction of training 530500 "Jurisprudence" studies the following disciplines of the professional cycle:

- Theory of state and law

- Constitutional law

- Administrative and procedural law

- Civil law

- Civil procedural law

- Labor Law

- Criminal law

- Law and infringement procedures

- Criminal Procedure Law

- Business Law

- International Law

- Criminalistics

- Elective disciplines

The objects of professional activity of graduates in the direction of training 530500 - Jurisprudence are public relations in the sphere of realization of legal norms, ensuring legality and state of order.

Types of professional activities of graduates: 

- norm-setting;

- law implementation;

- law enforcement;

- expert-consulting;

- pedagogical (teaching legal disciplines in educational institutions, except for higher educational institutions).

Masters's degree students in the direction of training 530500 "Jurisprudence" should be able to solve the following tasks: 

1. In normative-legislative activity: 

- Development of normative-legal acts; 

2. In-law execution activity:

- justification and making decisions within the limits of official duties, as well as - performing actions related to the implementation of legal norms;

- drafting of legal documents; 

3. In law enforcement activity:

- ensuring legality, law and order, security of an individual, society and the state;

- protection of public safety;

- prevention, suppression, detection, disclosure and investigation of crimes; and offenses;

- protection of private, state, municipal and other forms of property;

4. In expert and consulting activities:

- Consulting on legal issues; 

- realization of legal expertise of documents; 

5. In pedagogical activity:

- Teaching legal disciplines in educational organizations, except for higher educational institutions; 

- implementation of legal education.

The duration term of study of higher professional education in the training of bachelors of the direction 530500 "Jurisprudence" for full-time study - 2 years, part-time study - 2 years 6 month.

Admission Requirements

People who have secondary general/secondary vocational / higher vocational education have the right to enroll in the 1st year of KNU and its structural subdivisions.

  • Selection and enrollment of the applicants - citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and citizens of other countries for study is conducted twice a year: in summer and winter periods.

Winter admission  of applicants to the KNU is carried out by contract, for the places left vacant after the summer admission.

Registration and participation in the competition of applicants - citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic for Bachelor's and specialty educational programs are held based on the all-republican testing through the automated information system "Applicant Online" on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic https://2020.edu.gov.kg.

Registration and participation in the competition of applicants - foreign citizens  is carried out through the automated information system "Applicant Online" on the website of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic https://edugate.edu.gov.kg.

Entrance examinations are conducted for foreign applicants in the form of computer testing/interviews on the programs of entrance certification tests.

Education of citizens of other states is carried out based on international agreements that have entered into force in the prescribed manner, to which the Kyrgyz Republic is a party, as well as based on agreements between educational organizations or with individual citizens.

All required documents for foreign citizens:   document about education equivalent to the state document on secondary general education / secondary vocational education / higher vocational education of the Kyrgyz Republic must be  presented to the Admission Commission. The examination of documents of foreign citizens is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The main criteria for admission to study at KNU for all forms of education are the level of knowledge and abilities of the applicant. Admission of applicants to KNU is made on a competitive basis.

The applicant has the right to familiarize themselves on the university’s website with the Charter of KNU, its licenses for educational activity and certificates of state attestation, independent accreditation, rules of admission to KNU named after J.Balasagyn, and also other necessary information connected with the admission of applicants.
