KNU named after J.Balasagyn  is implementing the following objectives in the field of teaching and education of students in the direction  of bachelor 580100 "Economics";

Preparation in the field of basic economic knowledge, allowing the graduate to work successfully in the chosen field of activity, to possess universal and professional competencies, contributing to his social mobility and stability in the labor market, as well as the formation of social and personal qualities of students: purposefulness, organization, diligence, responsibility, citizenships, communicativeness, tolerance, increasing the general culture, etc.

Bachelor in the direction of training 580100 "Economics" should be able to solve the following tasks:

1) Calculation-economic activity

- preparation of initial data for calculations of economic and socio-economic indicators characterizing the activities of economic entities;

- carrying out calculations of economic and socio-economic indicators based on standard methods, taking into account the current regulatory and legal framework;

- development of economic sections of plans of enterprises of various forms of ownership, organizations, and departments;

2) Analytical, research activity

- search for information on the received task, collection, and analysis of data necessary for specific economic calculations;

- processing of economic data arrays following the task, analysis, evaluation, interpretation of the results obtained, and justification of conclusions;

- studying standard theoretical and econometric models of the processes, phenomena, and objects under study, related to the field of professional activity, analyzing and interpreting the obtained results;

- analysis and interpretation of indicators characterizing socio-economic processes and phenomena at the micro and macro level;

- preparation of informational and analytical reports;

3) Organizational and managerial activity

- participation in the development of variants of management decisions, justification of their choice based on criteria of socio-economic efficiency, taking into account risks and possible socio-economic consequences of the decisions;

- organizing the implementation of the assigned stage of work;

- operational management of small teams and groups formed for the realization of a specific economic project;

- participation in preparation and decision-making on issues of management organization and improvement of activity of economic services and subdivisions of enterprises of various forms of ownership, organizations, and departments, taking into account legal, administrative, and other restrictions;

4) Entrepreneurial activity

- planning and organization of entrepreneurial activity;

- feasibility study of business goals and determination of ways to achieve them;

- evaluation of competitiveness and determination of economic efficiency of a firm (business).

The duration of full-time Bachelor's  degree program of 580100 "Economics" in the direction 580100 "Economics"  is 4 years, and a part-time basis - 5 years.
