KNU named after J. Balasagyn pursues the following objectives in the education and education of personality on the direction of training of  bachelors 531100 – “ Linguistics”:

  Preparing qualified bachelors graduates for diverse professional activities in linguistic education,intercultural communication,translation studies,and new information technologies by developing students personal qualities and formation vocational abilities focused on achieving practical results.Formation students social and personal qualities that is determination,organization,diligence,responsibility,citizenship,communication skills,tolerance and enhancement of the overall culture.

  Professional field of graduates includes: linguistic education,interlingual communication,intercultural communication,translation studies,linguistic and new information technologies.

  The objects of professional activity for graduates in the field of study 531100 Linguistics:

•          theory of  language;

•          theory and methodology of teaching languages and cultures;

•          translation studies;

•          theory of intercultural communication;

•          linguistic components of electronic information systems;

•          languages and cultures of the countries;

•          process of education and education,educational technologies,including digital technologies

  Bachelor in the direction of training 531100 – “ Linguistics” should solve following professional tasks:

In the field of pedagogical activity:

-preparation and conduct of educational classes in organizations of preschool,primary general,basic general,secondary general education,initial and secondary vocational education,and additional education;

-conducting educational,excursion,outreach and club activities;

-practical application of current educational standards and programs;

-conducting information and research activities aimed at improving professional skills in teaching methodology;

In the field of translation activities:

-ensuring intercultural communication in various professional spheres;

-acting as an intermediary in the field of intercultural communication;

-utilizing types, methods, and technologies of translation, taking into account the nature of the translated text and the conditions of translation to achieve maximum communicative effect;

-conducting information and research activities aimed at improving professional skills in the field of translation;

-compiling dictionaries and methodological recommendations in professionally oriented areas of translation;

-consultative-communicative activities:

-participating in business negotiations, conferences, symposia, and seminars using multiple working languages;

-applying conflict resolution tactics in the field of intercultural communication;

-conducting information and research activities aimed at enhancing professional skills in intercultural communication;

-compiling dictionaries and methodological recommendations in professionally oriented areas of intercultural communication.

In the field of research activities:

-mastering scientific research methods;

-participating in linguistic research on designated topics;

The normative term of mastering higher professional education in the training of bachelors of the direction 531100 – “ Linguistics’’ full-time 4 years, part-time 5 years.
