College of Law and Political Science: Vision, Mission, and Objectives (Concise)
The College of Law and Political Science includes two departments: Law and Political Science. Instruction is mainly in Arabic, while English is taught throughout the four academic years. Student admission follows the central admission system of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the College applies all related ministerial regulations and instructions. The College follows an annual system for all stages, combining theoretical and practical study. In the fourth year (morning study), students take a training course that includes practical lessons and simulations of civil and criminal court work under experienced judges.
Starting from the 2009–2010 academic year, the College began implementing the objectives set by the relevant law.
Vision
To prepare a competent generation of legal professionals and political specialists based on modern scientific and educational foundations, supplying the judiciary and state institutions with highly professional graduates, and adopting modern legal curricula taught in advanced universities to qualify graduates for work in various fields.
Mission
To prepare graduates to serve society by placing law at the service of the community, providing the skills needed for state institutions and other sectors, building sound legal thinking and values, and strengthening the link between academic study and practical reality.
Objectives
Work toward establishing postgraduate studies in the future.
Develop and activate the Legal Advisory Office.
Establish postgraduate studies in Human Rights.
Create a unit for Legal and Political Studies.
Organize conferences, scientific seminars, and training courses.
Achieve qualitative and quantitative development in education, culture, and scientific research, and supply society with competent cadres that support national development and progress.

To apply for a PhD, the applicant must have a Bachelor's and Master's degree in addition to passing proficiency exams (Arabic language, English language, computer exam).
