Vision:
The vision of the Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education at the College of Education is to become the leading institution in preparing teachers, preachers, researchers, and educational professionals in the field of the Holy Quran and its sciences, advancing scientific research, providing scholarly consultation, and serving the community. Our department also aspires to achieve ethical, humanistic, and intellectual integration.
Mission:
To nurture students with a sound Islamic education based on moderation, balance, and acceptance of others, and to advance the educational process for students on sound academic foundations.
To adopt and implement the concept of comprehensive quality in higher education within the department. This includes a focus on self-evaluation—in its culture, practice, and follow-up—and preparation for external evaluation, all of which contribute to achieving comprehensive quality and continuous improvement. Objectives:
1- The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to promote the study of the Holy Quran and its sciences, as well as the Prophetic Sunnah, and to graduate highly qualified individuals specializing in the Holy Quran, its sciences, and Islamic education, and to integrate them into public life.
2- The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to graduate highly qualified individuals specializing in the Holy Quran, its sciences, and Islamic education, to practice the educational process in schools and institutes throughout the country.
3- The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to graduate highly qualified individuals capable of working in specialized Quranic research and studies centers both within and outside the country.
4- To provide higher education with teaching staff after they have completed their postgraduate studies (Master's or Doctorate).
5- The Department of Quranic Sciences and Islamic Education aims to develop its curricula in accordance with the decisions of the Deans' Committee of Faculties of Education and in line with developments in the department's curricula both locally and internationally.
6. Training students in scientific research and teaching them its fundamentals by introducing them to the structure of scientific research and methods of honest and accurate documentation, thus preparing them to become researchers equipped with the tools of scientific research in later stages of their academic lives.
7. Creating avenues for cooperation between the department and local and regional scientific and social institutions through joint seminars and studies.
