Overview The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2020-2021 at the College of Engineering / Al-Iraqia University. It awards a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering upon completion of four years of study. Graduates of the department will be specialised in various fields of civil engineering, including design, management, and implementation. Vision: The head of the Department of Civil Engineering aims for the department to be distinguished locally, regionally, and globally, providing students with the latest scientific advancements in the field through engineering programs, services, and high-quality academic resources. Objectives One of the most important objectives of the department is to graduate engineers who have comprehensive knowledge of the fundamentals of civil engineering and possess the ability to apply design, management, and construction methods in civil engineering projects. They should also have communication and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary projects and possess the knowledge to develop professional performance, creative thinking, and work planning based on societal values and professional ethics. Conduct scientific research and studies to increase knowledge and its applications, provide innovative solutions to engineering problems faced by professionals in the field, and establish strong relationships with local, regional, and international companies and institutions to enhance and support the progress of scientific research and educational activities at the university. Contribute to providing scientific and engineering consultations through various channels, including the engineering consulting office at the College of Engineering, Al-Iraqia University, as well as direct consulting work with all government ministries, including design, supervision, and management tasks. Encourage graduate students to conduct scientific research that meets the requirements and needs of the community.
