Vision of the Arabic Language Department:
The department's vision is to be a leader in elevating the status of the Arabic language and its literature locally, regionally, and globally, and to provide a suitable academic environment for the advancement of the Arabic language as the language of the Holy Quran and of society.
Mission of the Arabic Language Department:
The mission of the Arabic Language Department focuses on the following:
- Preparing a generation of scholars specializing in the sciences of the Arabic language and its literature, preserving the language of the Holy Quran, and providing society and its various institutions with qualified academic personnel to contribute to development and progress. This includes striving to bridge tradition and modernity in research, teaching, and the acquisition of skills and expertise, and fostering values ​​of belonging, responsibility, creativity, and constructive thinking.
- Strengthening academic and cultural ties with Arabic language departments in Arab universities and institutes, and with Arabic language academies and councils locally, regionally, and internationally, thereby contributing to the development of the college and enhancing its academic standing, and supporting diverse religious, academic, and educational institutions in society with highly qualified specialists.
The objectives of the Arabic Language Department are as follows:
To achieve its vision and mission, the Arabic Language Department aims to:
- Prepare highly competent Arabic language specialists who contribute to quality in Arabic language education, striving for specialized academic accreditation.
- Cultivate pride in the Arabic language and the Arab-Islamic heritage, and prepare specialists to work in Islamic religious and educational institutions, contributing to the strengthening and reform of society, combating extremism, fanaticism, bigotry, and sectarianism, and promoting Islamic and social values.
- Develop literary and critical linguistic skills in an environment based on self-directed and community-based learning, fostering a culture of dialogue and openness to others and their civilizations, and instilling its value in its members.
- Meet contemporary developmental needs in the fields of Arabic language and its skills, and provide specialized personnel to offer practical scientific consultations to raise the academic level.
- Foster openness and communication locally, regionally, and globally through participation in scientific conferences, providing scholarships, and organizing diverse academic, scientific, and cultural activities, such as conferences and seminars, both within and outside the university, to serve the Arabic language and various Islamic sciences.
