Message: 1- Supporting the objectives and functions of radio and television in monitoring society and achieving development goals in all areas. 2- Upgrading the field of radio and television broadcasting and enhancing its professional aspects by providing it with qualified teams of graduates from the department. 3- Bridging the gap between radio and television and other fields of work such as politics, economics, law, etc., and seeking to establish a mechanism for cooperation and integration in tasks and objectives.
Objectives: 1- Graduating media teams equipped with professional, artistic and media skills, capable of entering the job market with high capabilities and qualifications. 2- Diversify the sources of specialized knowledge for graduates of the department in all fields and areas in order to achieve a culture and objective knowledge for journalists. 3- Combining editorial skills and knowledge with other technical and artistic aspects to achieve the concept of a comprehensive journalist who is an expert in his various and diverse fields of work. 4- Developing a spirit of criticism, evaluation and review among journalists through a knowledge system provided to students with the aim of giving them the cultural immunity to protect the values and identity of society and uphold its constants. 5- Promoting a culture of freedom of expression, respect for human rights and society, and respect for public and personal freedoms as principles of free journalism. 6- Enhancing scientific research skills and principles among graduates of the department through an integrated scientific system aimed at promoting systematic and logical thinking among young journalists.
Outputs: Through its scientific and teaching activities, the department seeks to achieve the following outputs:
1- Graduating competent and qualified media professionals to work in radio and television media institutions in all fields and in editorial, preparatory and technical specializations. 2- Supporting the department's postgraduate programs by accepting outstanding and distinguished graduates into master's and doctoral programs and enhancing their research capabilities and skills to produce distinguished scientific theses and dissertations that contribute to the development of the media landscape.
