Department Vision: The department aspires to achieve a robust scientific and educational environment, capable of preparing a scientifically and educationally well-rounded generation that draws upon all chemical and environmental sciences, and to establish postgraduate studies in the near future.
Mission: To disseminate science and knowledge within society, particularly among youth, so they may carry the scientific message to future generations, with an emphasis on both scientific and educational aspects.
Objectives: 1- The Chemistry Department aims to cultivate in students a spirit of perseverance and self-confidence, encouraging them to pursue sound scientific methodology in acquiring, seeking, and applying knowledge to various aspects of life.
2- To contribute to the preparation of numerous compounds whose importance has become evident as pharmaceuticals, chemical fertilizers, and manufactured pesticides, serving as alternatives to natural materials and products, or as pharmaceutically significant catalysts.
3- To study the physical and biological processes of various systems, leading to a better understanding of the nature and function of living organisms.
4- To prepare a highly qualified teaching staff in the chemical sciences.
