The Department of Business Administration was established with the founding of the College of Administration and Economics at the university in its first academic year (2009-2010). It is one of the specialized academic departments within the college, contributing to the university's mission through its objectives, which align with those of other Iraqi and Arab universities. These objectives include preparing graduates specializing in business administration to fill administrative positions in various government departments, both productive and service-oriented, according to labor market demands. Furthermore, the department aims to enhance the performance of its faculty members to increase their effectiveness in teaching and research, and to contribute to keeping pace with the rapid developments the world is witnessing today.
Vision: To achieve leadership at the national and regional levels through excellence in teaching, scientific research, community service, and obtaining academic accreditation.
Mission: To meet the needs of various sectors for specialized personnel, conduct scientific and applied research, and provide consultations to serve the community.
Objectives: To qualify graduates to work in various public and private productive and service sectors. - To equip students with the essential knowledge and skills in the field of business administration, in line with the development needs of the local environment.
- To strengthen cooperation with various community institutions through providing consultations and implementing training programs.
- To enrich knowledge through the preparation of specialized research and studies, and the organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences.
