College Vision, Mission, and Objectives
The College comprises two departments: Law and Political Science. Instruction is delivered in Arabic in both departments, while the English language also forms an integral part of the curriculum across the four academic years. Student admission to the College is governed by the Central Admission system of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the College adheres to the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry.
The College applies the annual system in its teaching across all stages. The four-year program integrates theoretical and practical study, as the morning-study fourth-year students undertake a training course in which they receive applied lessons and simulations of real court procedures in civil and criminal courts, delivered by experienced judges.
Starting from the beginning of the academic year 2009–2010, the College began implementing the objectives set forth by law, and it continues to be subject to the Ministry’s Central Admission system.
1. Vision The College’s vision is to prepare a competent generation of legal professionals and political scientists in accordance with the latest scientific and educational foundations, ensuring the provision of the judiciary and state institutions with graduates of a high level of professionalism, and adopting modern legal materials taught in advanced universities, thereby producing a generation qualified to work across various fields.
2. Mission Preparing graduates to contribute to building their homeland by placing the law at the service of society, and by providing appropriate capabilities and skills to supply state institutions and other sectors with qualified personnel, within a framework that links academic study with practical reality through graduates’ serious engagement and influence within society.
1. Developing the student’s sound methodological thinking, providing proper legal training, and instilling genuine legal values, enabling them to become a fundamental element in society.
2. Placing among its priorities the possibility of opening postgraduate programs in the future.
3. Developing and activating the legal consultancy office.
4. Establishing a postgraduate program in the field of human rights.
5. Establishing a unit for legal and political studies.
6. Holding conferences, scientific seminars, and training courses.
7. Achieving qualitative and quantitative development in scientific, educational, cultural, and research activities across various domains of knowledge, and supplying society with competent cadres who contribute to implementing plans of advancement and scientific, technical, and civilizational development.
