The vision of the Department of Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis) is to strive diligently to be a leader in serving the Book of God Almighty and elucidating its meanings through rigorous scientific methodologies. It also aims to guide and reform society by strengthening faith in God Almighty and pride in the nation's symbols and fundamental principles, while adhering to quality assurance standards and academic accreditation.
Mission:
The mission of the Department of Tafsir is to prepare specialists in the interpretation of the Holy Quran and its methodologies, to highlight Islamic identity in thought and behavior, to solidify authentic Islamic values and ethics, to keep pace with scientific and civilizational development, to elevate the level of scientific research, to establish a practical Islamic educational approach to strengthen community bonds, and to support its religious, academic, and educational institutions, within the general frameworks of quality assurance and specialized academic accreditation.
Goals:
The objectives of the Department of Tafsir, in order to achieve its vision and mission, are focused on the following:
- Preparing specialists in Quranic exegesis and the methodologies of Quranic commentators who understand the diverse dimensions of the Holy Quran and are qualified to lead prayers, deliver sermons, provide guidance and instruction, and teach the Holy Quran, Islamic education, and various Sharia subjects.
- - To prepare researchers in Qur'anic and exegetical studies to preserve Islamic heritage and highlight its features, showcasing the true face of Islam and Muslims, and to raise awareness and guide people towards Islam and its tolerant teachings.
- To encourage innovation and creativity, keep pace with technological advancements and modern educational methods in accordance with the Islamic educational approach, and strive to achieve inclusion in various prestigious international academic rankings.
- To provide graduate studies in Qur'anic exegesis and its methodologies with highly qualified faculty members for university teaching and practical academic consultations to enhance the academic level.
