The department prepares students admitted from secondary school graduates in both the scientific and literary tracks over a four-year period. It also accepts outstanding graduates into postgraduate studies, employing modern teaching methods and contemporary educational techniques. The focus is on presenting reliable historical information through a comprehensive curriculum encompassing ancient history, Islamic history, and modern and contemporary history, highlighting their most prominent civilizational and scientific features.
Objectives:
1- To understand the present, anticipate the future, and grasp the reality of political, economic, and cultural development by highlighting the causes of events and their historical consequences.
2- To develop students' skills and train them in the principles of scientific research methodology, based on critique, analysis, description, and comparison.
3- To instill the values of divine, human, and national principles in a changing world brimming with events and developments.
4- To contribute to the preparation and upbringing of future generations according to ethical and human values, enabling them to fulfill their educational and intellectual roles. Recognizing others' educational and intellectual roles
5- Developing intellectual communication between faculty members and history students, both internally and externally, to strengthen relationships and achieve peace, freedom, and progress.

Admission Requirements
To apply for a Master, the applicant must have a Bachelor's degree in addition to passing proficiency exams (Arabic language, English language, computer exam).
