As one of the preeminent architectural programs in Southeast Asia founded in 1944, the Department of Architecture at NCKU has nurtured several generations of industry leaders specializing in design, construction and planning. Its long list of alumni have actively and directly contributed to Taiwan’s built environment and societal transformation at various scales. Our pedagogical principle is premised upon the union between teaching and research, with state of the arts facilities and qualified staffs to support student learning, including interactive flexible studio space, multipurpose room and advanced audio visual studios and more. Applicants should have basic Chinese skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Applicants are also required to provide a hand-written autobiography in Chinese. Applicants from non-English speaking countries applying for Ph.D. program are required to provide an English proficiency certificate (such as TOEFL,TOEIC or IELTS). All new students are REQUIRED to have a health check-up for university enrollment.
