The Industrial Design Department encourages
students to design for a safe, sustainable, harmonious environment with empathy
and professional skills. The curriculum includes courses related to humanity,
technology, and design, to stimulate students’ innovative minds. Our graduation
programs can be divided into 4 research groups: Integrated and Strategic
Design, Ergonomics and Interaction Design, Design Automation and Collaboration
Design, and Cognitive and Kansai Experience Design. By building students’
competency in aesthetics, engineering, and business, we nurture design talents
competitively in the world. Diverse international activities, such as exchange
programs, workshops, and conferences, enable our students to connect with
different cultures and increase their global vision. Combining studies on
campus and practices in collaboration with industry partners, the Industrial
Design Department cultivates designers with comprehensive abilities

A Portfolio and a Statement of purpose. The applicants should have basic Chinese skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. They are required to provide a Chinese proficiency certificate and a Chinese hand-written autobiography. Most courses are conducted in Chinese with the usage of English materials. All applicants are expected to have basic Chinese and English language skills. All new students are REQUIRED to have a health check-up for university enrollment.
