This program offers students the opportunity to explore the various fields of current biology. These include molecular and cellular biology, genetics and genomics, evolution, and ecology. Students are exposed to modern concepts, and current methods of experimentation in molecular biology, biochemistry, proteomics, genomics, and bioinformatics. Outstanding and highly motivated students are offered opportunities for research projects in faculty laboratories, summer laboratory research, and internships. The faculty advisors are also available to provide guidance in career development. Our Department supplies researchers and students with variety of advanced scientific equipment. In addition to Department Core Facilities, researchers and students can also access to research resources in NCKU campus, such as DNA Sequencing & Bioinformatics Core, Biological Imaging Core, Flow Cytometry Core, and variety of core facility located in the campus.
