The
defining objectives of the study program in economics are the preparation of
economists, general specialists in the field of economics who can work as
such in all economic entities, whether private or public. Their advantage in
the market is their training as general economists, which offers them the
possibility of employment by small firms that only want an economist to work
in the role of both a manager and a financier or accountant. While in larger
firms, their role as an economist can be specified in specific fields, which
is allowed by their general and versatile training, but also in the role of
coordinator of various economic activities. In public administration units,
their general training as economists, including a considerable training in
terms of quantitative methods, gives them the opportunity to be employed as
economists in all those units that require the position of an economist
without requiring special degrees such as financier, manager, etc. Banks,
other financial institutions or those operating in various fields of economy,
competition, environment, agriculture, transport, etc., will welcome our
students in the role of general specialist of economy. The specific objective
of the program is that, in addition to the modules we offer in the field of
psychology-pedagogy, with a professional master's degree in the field of
pedagogical studies, our students will also be prepared for the field of
teaching (market economy subject, which is developed in secondary schools).
The system of knowledge offered by this program and the skills that benefit
students through it, enable them to follow the studies of the second cycle
and further, thus increasing the possibilities of their professional career
in the field of economic policies or a research and academic career.

The application for the bachelor's program is carried out from the UALBANIA portal, by accessing the address: www.ualbania.al. Applications are only allowed to candidates who pay the application fee on time, as well as meet the requirement for the minimum competitive average that has been approved by the government for each study program. The competition for the university takes place in rounds, until the approved quotas for each study program are filled. Important documents for application are the application forms, high school diploma, "State Matura", photocopy of the means of identification and declaration.
