After completing the professional Master's study program "History Teacher for Secondary Education" a graduate is able to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the nature and objectives of history, including awareness of the complexities of the past and historical data; 2. Interpret historical facts and events, identify arguments in historical data and evaluate them critically; 3. To work as a history teacher in educational institutions that require expertise in teaching history and teaching methodology; 4. To contribute to a stable environment for research and exploration in history teaching; 5. To cope with the challenges presented by technology. Upon completion of this study program Professional master in 'Teaching History in higher secondary education', a student is able to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of the nature and goals of history as a discipline, including an awareness of the complexity of the past and the historical data; 2. Develop the ability to interpret historical events and facts, identify arguments in the historical record and evaluate them critically; 3. To work as a professional teacher in history in educational institutions which require professional expertise in teaching (history) and teaching methodology; 4. To contribute to a sustainable environment for research and exploration in teaching history; 5. To meet the challenges imposed by technology.
