doctoral program in "Sociology" aims to encourage doctoral students
to advance in their research. Graduates of this program will be well prepared
for original academic research, teaching-research careers, as well as careers
in applied and community sociology.
The philosophy of the program is based on the following main
principles:
- Provision of empirical scientific expertise through original studies for
strategic sectors of development of the Republic of Albania
- Providing the opportunity for development and career of young researchers
who want to develop their talents and skills, to design long-term careers as
scientific researchers in Sociology.
- The education with high professional and ethical standards of the
students who will follow this study cycle.

and responsibility of the Higher Education Institutions in scientific
research is clearly defined. For Higher Education Institutions with a field
in the social sciences, the aim is to encourage and promote research
activities to create active and responsible social sciences for the community

field of Sociology are a fundamental premise for the rational response to the
changes of the social, political, cultural and economic context. Actors
